The MC 2X teleconverter increases the focal length of any Kiev 60 lens you use it with by 2 times. Using a 2X teleconverter with standard 2.8/80 lens makes the lens into a 5.6/160 lens which is perfect for portraits.
Even though there is a two-stop loss in effective aperture (as any 2X teleconverter), the 2X teleconverter maintains the closest focusing distance of the lens you use. Your lens aperture will still work automatically.

We have two type 2X teleconverter for sell. OLD TYPE produced many years ago and NEW TYPE produced now.
The design of the OLD TYPE teleconverter provides macrophotography capabilities. You can easily remove the whole optical element (4 elements in 3 groups), turning the teleconverter into an extension tube that lets you focus to a 1:1 ratio. That is, you can focus close enough to fill the entire film frame with an image that is only 2-1/4" x 2-1/4" (6x6cm).
NEW TYPE teleconverter has same optical elements, better multi coating, but has not removing parts. Therefore optically the new ones are better.
